for dale. I have recollected your remains, the texture of your bare hands, and the warmth that you offered in the profundity of my soul. You had loved me as though I am a rose That bled scarlet tears and wear Ever so many flounces of petals. And when our clocks disappeared, You uttered your worries and regrets. We shared perplexing fears at dawn, and melancholy at night. You have devoured my name and still, you collapsed like a fainting star during the Earth's darkest hour. The ensuing nights floated in stillness And we became distant to our hearts. Our luminescent lamp turned dull and feeble, until it can no longer extend its bliss. My old love, I waited for your sun, only to witness how you offered roses in someone else's hand. All rights reserved.

Her Nature [ an excerpt from The Groves of Her Soliloquy ] written by Moon Cohem. In the bare forest that was once filled with plants and trees of golden leaves, a wanderer leisurely steps on a few piles of dead flowers that seemed to have fallen from a crape myrtle plant. The flowers are besmirched with brown soil and their lavender tone is now disposed of in shreds. From the old photograph that the wanderer has been carrying along in her journey, the location is difficult to distinguish from her former perspective, for the place has turned deserted and studded with cusps of seemingly conifer trees. As the wanderer continued to traverse the place, the apparent rising of the bleak sun transfigured into twilight, ascending from the horizon. At that moment, the wanderer comprehends that the sky has accentuated its celestial stars. She attempted to reach them with her bare hands, tipping her toes to increase her height gradually. When she has reached the stars, she dispersed th...

I Wrote A Poem Last Night. How can I let your voice Slump into oblivion If it resembles the sound of the rustling leaves? And if my eyes seemed Like doorways to the sunless sea How can you unfold The beauty in me? Lost In A Daydream. I've been wanting to lose my touch In the glossing reality. By the fleeting occurrence Of embracing your heartbeat. . . For once at least, I'm in a reverie. Copyright © Moon Cohem, 2022

underwater death. The wither had grown vast in length, I haven't reached the whispers to the shore. It plowed our garden with rolling tides I cannot compass And witnessed how the thread tied our souls. How long will our hearts douse in blue If loneliness has become the vein of my desire? Nothing is unyielding as the underwater death But in your horizon, I see things that are out of sight. soulful. I know the sky will grow peaceful after rain, And the flowers will bloom like a soaring hope. The oceans will laugh from the beauty it creates; Far from mortal strife and from the death's core. I will ask the spring and the autumn sway To bring the earth's embrace and wash away the thorns; And when the thunderstorm drifts off to sleep, Like the trees and grass, I'll be reborn. buried letters | 002 You are the art from my musings, and from every word I have written on felted sheets of fiber. From every tear of the countless euphoric episodes, I have shed, from every smile, I divulge towards the mirror. You are the beauty from the lines I draw, and from the lethargic melodies, I sing as it promises us a future for two running hearts. You are the traced line of a Sagittarius, sliding through the constellation of an everlasting universe. And I am the shining moon, yearning for the darling stellar occurrence you create. For Andres. buried letters | 001 My dear, I have fallen in love with your melancholy Even if you think it is a billowy surge. Let me alleviate your senses when the monsters attempt to strafe you. Let me help you mend your earthly wound Like how the clouds sweep hurricanes. If you will only let me embrace your imperfections, I will protect you when the world is against you.
